New art tutor Bernadette Bradley is joining our Paint Andalucia team in 2025.

From early days growing up in Northern Ireland, attending art college in 1976.  I have persisted on my visual journey, undertaking a variety of large scale public and private painting commissions, tutoring cross- border and community projects. In my own art practice I link with the ‘Romantics’  referencing the language of Dylan Thomas, and Yeats and  epic music as a catalyst for much of my work.  Ongoing conscious and subconscious dialogues and dilemma of one’s mortality and the human condition, drive much of my art-making. For me, travel, poetry,  music and dreams are pointers to the invisible world of the spirit inspiring and informing a visual dialogue. Artistic maturity has involved me on a diversity of artistic exploration, embracing conceptual thinking through a variety of mediums. Experimenting across the genres, I delve into film, performance, installation and sculpture to tackle themes requiring a different approach. Prevailing concerns continue to inform my visual response to the tangible and unseen world.  Media saturation, and subsequent alienation, injustices, addiction and themes of societal malaise preoccupy my thinking.. I believe my task as an artist is to be radial and authentic, and to create reflective interventionist art.
